Privacy & Community Terms

No dark patterns, no selling your data, no buried clauses. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and the simple rules that keep the Memory Wall a safe place.

Effective: July 20, 2026 · Lost Friends Gang Inc.

The short version

Who we are

This site is operated by Lost Friends Gang Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Lost Friends Gang," "LFG," "we," "us"). We make limited-drop gamewear and run The Memory Wall — a free, non-commercial space to honor gamertags and squads that drifted offline.

Questions about anything here? Email hello@lostfriendsgang.com.

Privacy — what we collect

The doctrine is simple: we collect as little as we can. The safest data is data we never hold. We don't run ad trackers, we don't sell or rent anything, and there are no dark patterns here. Here's the honest, itemized list.

If you join the email list

We collect the email address you enter, plus the date you signed up. We use it for one thing: to let you know when a drop is coming or when something worth your time happens at LFG. That's it. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we'll remove you promptly.

Accounts

You can create an account by signing in with Discord (OAuth) and/or an email magic link — there are no passwords to create or leak.

  • From Discord we receive your Discord user ID, username, email address, whether that email is verified, and avatar — used only to create and secure your account.
  • The magic-link option stores your email address and sends you a one-time sign-in link.

Why: to give you an account, a handle, and a saved place for your game progress. You can delete your account and all associated game data at any time from your account page.

Your handle / display name

The name you choose is shown to other players (for example, on leaderboards). Don't use real-world personal information you don't want public.

Public player card, following, and followers

Once you set a handle, a public player card exists at a link built from that handle (for example, lostfriendsgang.com/g/yourhandle). It shows your handle, your Discord photo (if linked), your referral rank, your unlocked achievements, and any items in your inventory — the same information already visible on your own account page. It never shows your email, Discord ID, Discord username, or anything tied to your raw connection.

Your handle also appears publicly on the Standings leaderboard once you've earned XP in RECALL, and that page requires no account to view. Because your card's link is just your handle, anyone who sees it on Standings — not only someone you've personally shared it with — can open your card, and any signed-in player can follow it from there. There is no separate search feature or full member directory: Standings only lists ranked players with real XP, not every account on the site.

You can turn either of these off any time from your account page. Turning off board visibility doesn't remove you from Standings or cost you your rank — your real position and XP still count, including toward season champion — it just shows you there as "Anonymous" instead of your handle, and makes your card link stop resolving entirely. Turning off following blocks anyone new from following you and immediately removes you from every existing follower's private "Friends" list — your follower count stays the same (the record of who followed you isn't deleted), but nobody can act on it anymore. Following is always one-directional: if you follow someone, you can see their card in your own private "Friends" list, but nobody can ever see who follows them — only a follower count is public, on your card and your own account page. Deleting your account removes your card, your followers, and everyone you follow.

If you post to the Memory Wall

When you submit a memory, we collect what you type into the form:

  • the gamertag, game, and era;
  • the memory itself;
  • an optional Discord username so our moderators can help reconnect you — this is only ever seen by our team and is never shown on the wall; and
  • an optional checkbox noting the post is in memory of someone who has passed.

Posting is free and requires no account. Please don't put phone numbers, home addresses, emails, or other private contact details in the memory text — reconnections are meant to go through Discord (see below). If you include private contact info anyway, we may edit or decline the post.

Game data (RECALL)

When you play the daily game, we store your plays, scores, streaks, solves, unlocked achievements/badges, and XP — only to run the game and show you your progress.

Referral codes

If you arrive through a squad or creator link, a short code is stored in a secure httpOnly cookie — kept out of browser storage and off any link you copy — so we can credit the person who referred you. This powers the squad ladder and creator lane. It is not advertising tracking.

Sign-in cookie

A secure httpOnly session cookie keeps you signed in. No third-party ad cookies, ever.

Technical basics

This is a plain static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits — it's cookieless and privacy-first: no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, no profile of you. We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. As with any website, our host and the services that deliver the page (for example, our font provider) may process limited technical information such as your IP address and browser type to serve the site securely. We don't use that to build a profile of you. Your browser's local storage may also hold a couple of small functional values (for example, a referral code from a squad link) — used only to make features work, never for tracking.

To keep the Memory Wall safe, submissions and reports also store a one-way scrambled fingerprint of your connection (never your raw IP address) used only to rate-limit spam and abuse. It can't be reversed into who you are.

How your information is handled

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to actually run the site. Your information may pass through them only for the purposes above:

  • Hosting: Cloudflare (serves the website).
  • Email list: stored in our database (Cloudflare D1); when we send a drop announcement we load the list into an email-delivery provider at that time.
  • Authentication: Discord (OAuth sign-in) — see Accounts above.
  • Memory Wall submissions: stored in a private database we control (Cloudflare D1) so a human can read and approve each one before it ever appears on the wall.
  • Fonts: Google Fonts (loads the typefaces).

Each provider handles data under its own privacy terms. We share information with them only to operate the site, to comply with the law, or to protect the safety of people and the community. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe at any time — every email includes an opt-out, or just email us.
  • Delete your account: sign in and use the delete-account action any time to remove your account and all associated game data (handle, XP, badges, plays) — or email us and we'll do it for you.
  • Access or delete your information: email hello@lostfriendsgang.com and we'll take care of it.
  • Take down a memory: if you posted it, or it's about you or someone you're responsible for, just ask and we'll remove it.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your data (such as under the GDPR or California's privacy laws). We honor those requests — reach out and we'll help.

Children

This site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. You must be at least 13 to join the email list, create an account, or post to the Memory Wall. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.

The Memory Wall — community rules

The Wall exists to honor people and help squads find each other again. Keeping it kind is the whole point. By posting, you agree to a few simple things.

What's welcome

  • Real gamertags, real squads, real memories.
  • Posts about people you actually played with — friends, teammates, communities.
  • Tributes to someone who has passed, posted with care.

What's not

  • No impersonation, no celebrities, no public figures. Don't post about someone famous as a stunt, and don't pretend to be someone you're not.
  • No harassment, threats, hate, or targeting a person.
  • No private contact details (phone, address, email) in the memory text.
  • No spam, ads, scams, or links to harmful content.
  • Nothing illegal, and nothing that isn't yours to share.

Every post is reviewed

When you submit, the form runs a quick automatic check and your memory is marked "in review." Nothing appears on the public Wall until a human reads it and approves it. We may approve, edit lightly for safety, or decline a post at our discretion. We can also remove anything later. There's a one-tap Report on every card — use it, and we'll look.

Reconnecting safely

Reconnections happen only inside our moderated Discord server — never through a handle shown in public, and never by us handing your contact details to a stranger. In the server our team is present, there are rules, and conversations can be seen by moderators. We do not arrange or facilitate private contact between an adult and anyone under 18. Still, talk to people the way you'd talk to any stranger online: trust your gut, keep private details private, meet only in public if you ever meet at all, and don't send money. Lost Friends Gang isn't responsible for what happens in conversations or meetings between users — use good judgment, and report anything that feels off.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By submitting a memory, you give Lost Friends Gang permission to display, store, and share it on the Wall and in related LFG channels (for example, sharing a touching reunion). You confirm you have the right to post it and that it follows these rules. Tell us to take it down and we will.

Drops, presales & returns

How drops work. Pieces are made in small, numbered editions. Some drops sell as presales: you're charged at checkout, and your piece is made and shipped after the claim window closes. The product page will always state the expected ship window before you pay.

Changed your mind? Any time before your order ships, email us and we'll cancel it for a full refund. No forms, no questions.

Returns. Within 30 days of delivery we accept returns of unworn, unwashed pieces with the chip and tags intact, for a refund of the item price. Editions are numbered and small, so returned numbers may be retired rather than resold. Reply to your order email to start one.

Shipping. We currently ship within the United States.

The chip. Every piece carries an NFC chip used to reveal rarity and verify authenticity. Tapping it is entirely optional — the garment also works fine as, you know, clothing.

Using this website

The site and its content — including the Lost Friends Gang name, logo, the presence-dots mark, and other brand elements — belong to Lost Friends Gang Inc. and are protected by trademark and copyright. Please don't copy the branding or pass yourself off as us.

The site and the Memory Wall are provided "as is." We work to keep things running and safe, but we can't promise the site will always be available or error-free, and we're not liable for issues arising from use of the site, to the fullest extent the law allows.

We don't sell products on this site yet. When drops go live, the specific purchase, payment, shipping, and return terms for an order will be presented at checkout and will apply to that purchase.

Changes & contact

We may update this page as the site grows; when we do, we'll change the effective date at the top. For anything — a privacy request, a takedown, or just a question — email hello@lostfriendsgang.com.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
